Printemps Blanc
By Manon Cezaro

Printemps Blanc is a book of flowers and butterflies. Spring motifs merge with insects to cover the flowery landscapes. Layout in the manner of a herbarium, the pages are composed according to different rhythms. We alternate between planks saturated with colors and patterns with planks on a black background, where a cluster of flowers seem to be waiting to be sorted in turn.

These herbarium plates are interspersed with double pages of drawings where one or more butterflies are followed in white landscapes drawn in line. The butterflies and the flowers were made in plaster, they are fine flat surfaces, they echo by the fragility of the material the dried flowers or the butterflies of the herbaria.
